# Story Maps

"Story maps" combine geographic information with text, media, and other story elements. In our exercise, we will be using ArcGIS' Story Maps. Another common tool is [Knightlab's StoryMaps](https://storymap.knightlab.com/) (see [tutorial](https://bcds.gitbook.io/learn/tutorials/storytelling/an-introduction-to-knightlab-storymap-js)).
