# DS Methods Overview

DS methods enable scholars and students to conduct research and present scholarship in a variety of modes, including spatial, temporal, textual, hypertextual, immersive, graphical, and exhibitive. DS tools, e.g., ArcGIS, and skills, e.g., coding, are the means by which methods are enacted. &#x20;
